#965: Fukuoka (category: prefecture)
Fukuoka Prefecture is located at the northern tip of Kyushu Island (refer to #063). It is the most populous prefecture in the Kyushu region.
The Kanmon Railway Tunnel, which connects Fukuoka Prefecture with Yamaguchi Prefecture at the western end of Honshu Island (refer to #062) via an undersea connection, was completed in 1942.
