#988: Shiga (category: prefecture)
Shiga Prefecture is located at the eastern end of the Kinki region (refer to #139). Lake Biwa (refer to #483), the largest lake in Japan, is in this prefecture.
The Enryaku-ji temple on Mount Hiei, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is located in Shiga, not in Kyoto (refer to #035).
